  School Library Journal Review

Gr 4-7-Fans of the Squirrel Girl comics, which feature a college-bound Squirrel Girl, will rejoice to learn of her superhero beginnings at age 14. Abigail Ravasch inhabits Doreen Green and her alter ego, Squirrel Girl, with finesse. Using her higher range, Ravasch creates a convincing teen voice that fills with snark or trembles with insecurity as our heroine faces the ups and down of her double life. Ravasch is able to handle a host of other characters as well, including adult and male voices. Tara Sands also does several voices, but Tippy Toe, Squirrel Girl's squirrel companion, is her main role. She is completely convincing as a street-smart creature of the trees whose disgust with humans is shattered when she meets Doreen. VERDICT Sure to be a hit with listeners of all ages, who will be eager for the next installment.
