Recently divorced, Grace D'Angelo has moved from her Midwestern roots to Los Angeles with her daughter in an attempt to start over. But Grace's best friend Leeza is dying of cancer back in New London, Wisconsin, and when Leeza succumbs to the illness, the ghosts of Grace's past and present converge at Leeza's funeral, including her ex-husband and a wealthy flame from high school, both of whom reignite old feelings and conflicts.
