When Superman flies into the sun to stop an evil plan of Lex Luthor's, he finds that his powers and intellect are tripled. However, the same event causes his cells to begin to break down and, faced with his inevitable death, Superman begins to prepare Lois Lane, his other friends, and his adopted planet for a future without him.
