Bob Rueland, a Chicago architect, is still trying to adjust to life without his wife, who was was tragically killed in an automobile accident. His friends keep trying to set him up on blind dates. Finally, he actually shows up for one at a quirky Irish-Italian restaurant where he finds himself more attracted to the waitress than his blind date. As their relationship blossoms, everything seems to be going great, until an unbelievable truth is revealed, one that could easily break both of their hearts for good.
