Miles is a divorced man and a failed writer who teaches junior high English. He decides to take his best friend, somewhat famous actor Jack, on a weeklong drive through California's wine country to celebrate Jack's final bachelor days. Their wine-tasting road trip takes an unexpected detour as the comically mismatched pair indulge in a mid-life crisis consisting of wine, women and a yearning for the past.
